Maryam can typically complete 10–15 simple designs per hour, or 8–10 detailed full-face designs. For events with 30+ children, we recommend booking a 2-hour minimum to ensure every guest gets a design they love.

Yes — absolutely. Only FDA-approved, professional-grade, hypoallergenic face paints are used. These are the same products trusted by TV and film makeup artists. A fresh sponge is used for every child without exception. Children who appear unwell or have visible skin conditions will not be painted as a safety precaution to protect all guests.

Absolutely. Maryam serves Kanata, Ottawa, Stittsville, Nepean, Barrhaven, Carleton Place, Almonte, Arnprior, Carp, Richmond, and surrounding areas. A travel fee may apply for locations beyond 30km from Kanata — just mention your address when booking and she'll include it in your quote.

We recommend booking 3–4 weeks ahead for weekday events, and at least 4–6 weeks ahead for weekend dates. Summer weekends (June–August) and holiday season dates fill very quickly — early booking is strongly advised to secure your preferred date.

Face paint is water-based, so we prefer to set up under a tent, canopy, or sheltered area at outdoor events. If you're planning an outdoor event, please note the shelter situation when booking so we can prepare accordingly. Maryam has painted at hundreds of outdoor events and always comes prepared.

Yes! Glitter tattoos are a popular add-on, especially for older children and adults who prefer them over face paint. They last several days and come in dozens of designs. Ask about availability and pricing when submitting your booking request.
